Disney and Academy-award winning director, Hayao Miyazaki, brings life to a heart-warming and imaginative re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale, The Little Mermaid. Refreshments will be available for purchase at a nominal fee to benefit the Teen Advisory Group.

Bunco!

This month features the fast-paced dice game Bunco. Bunco is similar to Yahtzee and played in teams of two. Sign up with a friend or we will match players on game night. Pop and light snacks will be provided and there will be prizes (fuzzy dice, yay!).

For ages 13-18. Registration is required, you can register at the Youth Information desk or by calling the library. Come join the fun!

Angle of Repose by WallaceStegner

Based on the letters of Mary Hallock Foote, Angle of Repose is a critically acclaimed novel about a wheelchair-using historian, Lyman Ward, who has lost connection with his son and living family and decides to write about his frontier-era grandparents. It won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1972.

March has become known as reading month. What could be better than a whole month devoted to books? It also means it's time for the Roseville Public Library's annual bookmark contest. Our theme this year is Community's thrive @ your library. The winning bookmarks will be printed in color and distributed in the Library. Stop by the Youth Services Area for bookmarks from prior contests and an application for the contest or download one here.

eBooks are now available from Overdrive at our library!

January 2010 was the first time in a single month that 1 million digital titles were checked out from Overdrive-powered libraries. The popularity of ebooks has soared through the past year, and we are pleased to be able to offer you ebook titles in Adobe EPUB format to download and check-out through Overdrive. EPUB, together with Adobe Digital Edition makes our ebooks suitable for viewing on a pc or mac, as well as devices such as the Sony Reader® or the B&N nook™.
